Tips for Pesky Stretch Marks

I know all the mommas out there are concerned about these pesky little beauty marks. I get questions about trying to conceal stretch marks in women’s photos all the time so I’ve put together some quick tips for reducing redness and healing overtime. These tips are commonly suggested and are not a guarantee that it will work for your body.

Tea Tree oil is also an excellent ingredient for repairing various skin ailments, such as stretch marks, skin tags, keloids, and more.

1. Cocoa-shea butter cream
A few years ago the huge coco-shea butter craze blew up and every product seemed to have it. This cream is so luxurious and moisturizing. The hydration to your skin is what helps retain skin elasticity. For stretch mark treatment, and more importantly prevention, lather the concerned area with body butter twice a day, morning and night. Here’s a quick recipe to make your own!

 

2. Potato juice
All over the internet people are talking about how potatoes can give your skin the vitamins it needs to repair areas afflicted with stretch marks. It’s so quick and cheap! All you need to do is rub a slice or two of a regular, russet potato over the area, let the juice dry, and then wash over with lukewarm water. Much cheaper than buying a specialty cream and natural!

 

Caffeine stimulates blood flow so trying rubbing coffee grounds over your stretch marks.

3. Coffee grounds & scrubs
Because stretch marks occur in the middle layer of skin, they can be pretty pesky to get rid of but a scrub which exfoliates and digs deep can help treat already existing stretch marks. The caffeine in coffee that is absorbed through your skin assists with blood flow in the concerned area which in turn boosts cell regeneration. This method is supposed to help stretch marks that have already reached the final, silvery stage. Here’s a DIY coffee scrub you can try.
